Torch song meets talk show “ Bill,” a song written by Jimmy Lewis and performed by Peggy Scott-Adams, is attracting a lot o f attention and surprising audiences with a new twist on an old tale, reports the Washington Post. The passionate R&B ballad bemoans the traditional cheating husband, but in this case the “other woman” is a guy named Bill. Although the lyrics are far from subtle, both Lewis and Scott-Adams say the homosexual theme is merely incidental to a song that’s really about deception. Lewis told the Post he was inspired by a man he saw on The Oprah Winfrey Show who thought getting married would cure his hom o sexual tendencies.
