B ritt , return (?) of the “prodigal sons” who put the knife into Cooperative Observer. the republican ticket last fall and who helped to elect a democratic senator from Oregon. While it is no doubt right allow the erring ones to come back into the fold, many true and tried members of the party believe that a deserter will bear watching lest be breaks faith a ain. The article in the Sun is headed in large type across the whole page, “Republicans join with Progres- sives at Lincoln Banquet, ” but to some it seems that good taste as well as adherence to the truth would re quire transposition of the names at least. Shall the tail wag the dog? Will the Republicans of Jackson county allow the Medford Sun and a few agitat ors to dominate the party only to desert it in time of need? The success or failure of the party depends upon the answer to these questions. - ✓ 1Oc. TO 50c.
