The proposed levy includes money to be raised for all county expenses, including the sum of $56,640 for redemption of outstanding warrants and $100, 000. for state tax, is placed at 14 mills. The tax for city purposes levied by the council is 15 mills and the school levy is 6 mill, making a total of 35 mills to be levied on each dollar of the assessed valuation of property within the city of Jacksonville. Last year the levy was 43 mills.
