La** ECZEMA CURED. ONLY LIVE ISSUE Is Good Roads Says Judge Wonacott. County Judge Wonacott, elected president of the organization of county judges and commissioners of Oregon, says; “The only live issue now before all the people of Oregon is the making of good loads. The people in the southern part of the state are tremen dously in favor of better built high ways, and they believe that the legis lature should adopt all five of the good roads bills now pending before the legislature as a means for the making of good roads. If we build roads we build the state.” This is a proper attitude for county official. If the good roads issue is not the only live one it is one of the most important. -Ex. Deafness Cannot be Cured by local applications, as they cannot reach the diseased portion of the ear. There is only one way to cure deafness, and that is by constitutional remedies. Deafness is caused by an inflamed condition of the mucous lining of the Eustachian Tube. When this tube is inflamed you have a rumbling sound or imperfect hearing, and when it is entirely closed, Deafness is the result, and unless the inflammation can be taken out and this tube restored to its normal condition, hearing will be destroyed forever; nine cases out of ten are caused by Catarrh, which is nothing but an inflamed condition [of mucous surfaces. We will give One Hundred Dollars for any case of Deafness (caused by ca'arrh) that cannot be cured by Hail's Catarrh Cure. Send for circulars free. F. J. CHENEY & Co., Toledo, O. LEGAL BLANKS New Office to be Created by Amendment to Constitution Salem, Jan. 18.—Creation of the office of lieutenant governor, as pro posed in a reso'ution presented by Senator Calkins yesterday, seems likely to command strong support at this session of the legislature. Impetus is given by the recent anomalous situation in the state when Secretary of State Benson, called tspon to perform the duties of governor, was compelled by ill health to turn over the office to the president of the senate. The Calkins resolution provides for the submission of a constitutional amendment at the election of 1912, so the people may pass upon the question. It provides no salary for the lieutenant governor aside from a per diem unless called to fill a vacancy in the guber natorial chair. Fever Sores. Fever sores and old chronic sores should not be healed entirely, but should .The kept in healthy condition. This can be done by applying Chamber lain’s Salve. This salve has no super ior for this purpose It is also most excellent for chapped hands, sore nipples, burns and diseases of the skin. For sale by City Drug Store. Newspaper Creed. This is Henry Watterson's news paper creed: “To print nothing about a man which we would not say to his face; to print nothing of a man in malice; to look well and think twice before consigning a suspect to the ruin of prirter’s ink; to respect the old and defend the weak; and lastly, at work and at |play, daytime and nighttime, to be good to the girls and square with the boys, for hath it not been written, ‘Of such is the kingdom of heaven/ I I What Can We Say I More than if you are not satisfied after using Sutherland's Eagle Eye Salve we will refund your money. 25c at the City Drug Store TILE FOR SALE We have now in stock at our kiln, a large quan tity of first class drain tile.
