The Southern Pacific has offered to co operate with the citizens of the town and vicinity in getting up a monster celebration in honor of the event. It will certainly mark the commencement of a new era for Klamath Co. Harvey W. Scott, the editor of the Portland Oregonian who had been ten- dered the ambassadorship to Mexico by President Taft has declined the honor.
