OREGON Published every Saturday by the Post Pub- ishing Co. J. B. Barnes. Editor Admitted as second-class matter at Jacksonville, Oregon. rii LiL.LL.it The residence of S. A. Sibbles, at Eileen, near the Blue Ledge mine, was burned Thursday evening about 9 o’clock. Several hundred dollars in stock and other valuables were burn ed, there was some insurance on the property but not enough to cover the cost of the building. Lewis Adams had the house built at a cost of $2000 and owing to sickness moved to Portland where he exchanged this property to Mr. Sibbles for Port land property. It appears that Mr. Sibbles was pre paring to go to a dance in the neigh bor hood, and was dressing in his room on the second floor. After dressing he picked up the lighted lamp and started down the steps when he aliped and fell. The lamp exploded setting the house on fire. The fall rendered Mr. Sibbles unconscious and when he revived the roof was almost ready to fall in. Nunan - 7 aylor Co. ' -—■—♦----------- D. B.
