In the past two years The Dalles has placed $12,500 in its .Binking 'und, "and loaned it out at a greater rate of interest than its bonds bear, thus stopping int erest on this amount and having to the good besides. In a comparatively short time, at this rate, The Dalles will be out of debt, and then no tax levy at all will he necessary, licenses and flues paying all municipal expense.
