B. Humbert and wife left for San Francisco Monday. —Mrs. C. B. Watson returned from San Francisco Saturday. —F. M. Stewart was in town from Medford Monday and Tuesday. —Miss Louise Ganeir came over from her school on Anderson creek Saturday, returning Sunday. —Wm. Lindsey returned Monday from Boyles, Cal., where he has been at work with a bridge-building crew. —Samuel Friendly, of Eugene, passed through Ashland on Sunday evening’s train, on his return from San Francisco. —Mrs. A. S. Jacobs, of Central Point, arrived in Ashland last Thursday for a visit with Ashland relatives and friends. —E. E. Phipps, publisher of the Gold Hill Miner, was in Ashland Saturday, and made the A dvertiser a pleasant call. —Ira Purdin, ex-assistant postmaster of Medford, went to Sisson last Friday to accept a position in the hotel at that place.
