So great was the rush that all the reserved seats and boxes had been sold early in the week and 2,000 people were denied admittance. There wore over 800 entries, many fine horses from Port land. Seattle and other cities being shown. James Murray, one ot the judges and a veteran horsemen with a continental reputation, declared that the show was one of the finest he had ever seen. The American horses, especially, he declared, could carry off the blue ribbons at New York and Kansas Oity. Oregon was honored with many bine ribbons on accountof her superior horses.
