Meyers, and his nephew, Eddie Meyers, of Lake Creek, were in Medford Tuesday, having brought iu several head of fat cattle which they sold to T. E. Pottenger. Dr. aud Mrs. W. L. Cameron re lumed Sunday from Portland. When thoy left the city their friend, Miss MuVickers, was very much improved iii fact entirely out of danger. Lynn Purdin, who is traveling with tho Georgia Harper compauy, spent Suuday with home folks iu Medford. The company opens here Monday night for a week's engagement. H. Grovenlng, of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Chas. Brownell, of Michi gan, arrived in the valley Tuesday and will look over tho country for a few days with a view to locating. J. J. Brophy returned last week from Fort Klamath, where he has beeu looking aftor his herd of Hol- stein-Freisian cattle. He haa advance orders for calves from this herd at good prices. Mr. aud Mrs. Chas. R. Bruce, of Elk Point, South Dakota, stopped off iu Medford Monday for a few hours stay in our city. Mr. Bruce is publisher' of the Union. County Courier, published at Elk Point. Mr, aud Mra. Win. Scott aud daugh ter, Mrs. Mann, and son, Ira, of Helix, Oregon, were in Medford over Sunday upon a visit to Townsman J. A. Scott and family. They left Tues day for Long Beach, Calif., where they will spend the winter. Miss Ella Gauuyaw returned last week from lreka, Calif., and will spend the, winter in Medford with her parents.
