Wine Walk benefi ts Community FORCE BAKER CITY — This month’s wine walk sponsored by Baker City Downtown will benefi t Community FORCE. The walk is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and begins at Hatch, 2019 Main St. A $10 donation gives participants a Baker City Down- town logo wineglass and a map of participating businesses. The donations will help Commu- nity FORCE connect families and the community with information and resources at no cost. Specifi - cally, the areas that the network will focus on are: disability aware- ness; education planning, life planning and fi nancial planning; and monthly support groups and quarterly family fun days. Soft pastels workshop set for Nov. 2-3 BAKER CITY — Antonia Car- riere will lead a workshop on soft pastels Nov. 2 and 3 at Crossroads Carnegie Art Center, 2020 Auburn Ave., Baker City. Make sugar skulls for Dia de los Muertos LA GRANDE — A two-day class will make and decorate sugar skulls, a tradition of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) in remembrance of loved ones who have died. Classes will be Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 29 at 5:30 p.m. at Art Center East, 1006 Penn, La Grande. Students may keep or add their skulls to the community ofrenda (altar) in the Art Center East gal- lery. The class is for ages 10 and older. Cost is $25 members or $30 nonmembers.
