Low-priced Issues were ac tive and strong. Tire issues spurt ed under the 'leadership of Good rich which gained 3 points. Au tomotive equipment shares join ed tho motors in their rise. Experienced Rail Workers Needed PORTLAND, Aug. 24 (UP) Oregon's railroad Industry put out a call today for experienced railroad workers to maintain the state's transportation facilities. Capt. Ralph O. Hoge chairman of the state railroad urgency com mittee, said applications for jobs were constantly increasing, but the large majority of those who had applied had no previous rail rood experience. Without sufficient manpower to tnke care of the henvy traffic, both passenger and freight, there is a possibility the transportation system will break down, Hogi said.
