They went first to Eugene over the John Day highway and the McKenzle Pass and then to the coast, returning to Portland on Saturday and back to their home here on Sunday morning. Follow ing the closing of school she spent the weekend at the Christian Endeav or summer conference at Turner, Oregon, Miss Oelbel will remain here for about two weeks visiting with her mother, Mrs. Bessie Gelbel, before going on to her school at Albany, where she Is a teacher.
