Mwur today to use every pre caution at his command to prevent strained relations betweon the United States and Japan In connec tion with the Salt River valley farm er-Japanese controversy, expected to come to a head Saturday. Governor Mtour was advised iby William Phillips, acting secretary of otate at Washington, that the Japa nese embassy there has expressed ap prehension over the situation, and has taken the matter up with the state department.
