federal government urged Governor

United States and Japan In connec
tion with the Salt River valley farm

come to a head Saturday.
Governor Mtour was advised iby
William Phillips, acting secretary of

nese embassy there has expressed ap
prehension over the situation, and has
taken the matter up with the state
department.
He referred to an ultimatum, de
livered last week by fanners in the
Fowler district, that a)' Japanese
must be out of the valley by Satur
day night, or steps would bo taken
to move them out.
