Golf clothes, skating skirts and' other costumes ready for practical sports wear appear with bifurcated skirts. Some of them may be but toned and re-buttoned to moke either a trouser-llke model for active sports wear or a simple little skirt for tho strest. Mrs. Nora Oheney and Mrs. Belle Biulck each gave & paper on the life of Lincoln and Mrs. Viola Parker. Mrs. C. L. Scott and Mrs. Mary Castor gave different phases of the life of Washington. Mrs. Nora Jones gave an account of "Old Iron sides" and Mrs. Anna Schoonover gave a reading "Utile Bronze But ton." Mrs. Lulu Ackiey &ang, playing her own accompaniment on the guitar. The Pig club has Increased Its membership so far from 12 last year to 14 this season. A Union County Farm Accounting club was also organized yesterday at Island City, the first time that such a club has been formed in this coun ty. No local leader has been appoint ed but the officers elected were Ver non Stoddard, president: Truman Ir win, vice president; Clayton Fox, sec retary. ! At Cove the Cove Dairy club was organized under the local leadership of Brnest Bell, with Bob Duncan as president; Billy Duncan, vice presi dent; and Robert Becker, secretary. The enrollment is not complete. Another club which was organized for the first time In this county is the Cove Vegetable and Garden club with 13 members. No local leader has been selected, however, the officers are Sarah Brothers, president; Geor gia Lindsay, vice president; and Ger trude Hagey, secretary.
