She accompanied her son, Raymond and wife, who are moving to tlante, Barbara. They left here In time to spend Christmas day with another daughter, Mm. Belle Tucker,' at Med lord, completely sur prising her. -. Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Pecbler's Christmas .was doubly happy whan they spent tho day at Covo at the home of her parents, Mr, and Mrs. T. B, Johnson. It was also the gol den wedding anniversary of the John son's. They had planned a large cele- j bratlon but gave It up aa Mrs. John son Is still suffering from a badly mashed hand which she caught In her electric wringer some time ago. Tho Get-together club had its last meeting at the home of Mrs. Charles Grandy In the nature of a Christmas party. Gifto were plied high around a decorated Christmas tree, made possible by an exchange of names. They were all Inexpensive, though hand-made. Christmas colors wore carried out In tho lunch which Mrs. Grandy served at tho close of the day. Tho school house was Jammed with people at tho community Christmas troe. Tho teacher, Mrs. Joe Dichl, and pupils gave a very good program. Just as tho last number on the pro-' gram was being given, some jllvely old time music, Jolly old Santa, por trayed by Charlie Grandy, came -merrily danolng down the main aisle to the tree where he distributed gifts to all tho children and candy and nuts to all present. They were calves, 16 in all, purchased by a rancher in the Prairie City country. 1 Mr, Chapman sold 180 purebred Hereford bulls In 1033 and lias about 80 young calves still In his pens. He has disposed of many by tho smaller aaleB, casual buyers taking a ftead or two at n tune. He does quite an ex tensive business with his purebred animals. . I. 0. 0. F.
