CHANGES IN : "-" BUDGET ARE DUE,, TO LAW (Continued prom ,Page One) forth to upset the previously drawn budget was the discovery that a levy must be made to retire rood oonas. Theso had pot been. -Included in the budget under a refunding plan ap proved. So It was necessary to addi $53,000 to the budget for the bonds. The market road fund was cut from $30,000 to M7.000 but the mo tor vehicle license money from the state was taken from this Item and made to apply against- he road bonds so that 27,O0O must be raised from taxation for that Item. One saving of Importance was made when the 40,000 Item for old ane pensions was cut in two, the new figure Doing 20.000. The coun ty! high school tuition fund was reduced from (23,600 to $3,300. The six per cent tax limitation caused this move. Another cnsnge was in creasing of the item for fleldj dep uties for the county assessor from (600 to (775. A refunding plan will be followed. but the tax levy for the road bonds must be made, county officials say. If not enough taxes come in then, the money received will be applied to the bonds, and new bonds Issued for the remainder. This Is the only plan possible under law, it was learned Friday. Bonds due at pres ent will be paid by using approxi mately (500 In cash and the remain ing (500 in new bone's. With nearly the same- amount of taxes to be raised, and with a blanket 'cut on the assessed valuation of prop erty in the county, the mlllage rate will be higher. But the actual tax bill each man will pay will be about the same as for 1933.. j FRECKLES AND HIS FRIENDS by Blosser His Big- Moment!
