Then at Christmas time, the shiny, well repaired toys will gladden the hearts of children who otherwise would regard Santa Claus as merely a myth Mrs. O. I. Wade, widow of the late Mr. Wade, died last night at a Caldwell, Ida., hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wade formerly made their home In La arande where he was a prominent rancher, but moved to Palo Alto, Ool. about five years ago. They had been visiting their daughter, Mrs. Cam Callahan. In Caldwell when they were both taken ill. Mrs. Wade suffered a stroke last April 18. and had been ill for some time. Mr. Wade died suddenly of heart disease on Cot. 4, at Caldwell. Funeral services will he held for both at the Summerville chapel Sun day afternoon at 2 o'clock and In terment will be in the Summerville cemetery. She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Georgia Olson and Mrs. Ethel Led better, Palo Alto, Cel.; Mrs. Cal lahan, of Caldwell; Mrs. Howard Coleman, of Corvallls, a son, Tom Wade, of Palo Alto, all of whom will be here for the funeral services; and two sisters, Mrs. R. H. Smith, of La arande, and Mrs. Violet Bradshaw, of Walla Walla, who arrived today: besides other relatives. A program will be presented this afternoon at 4 o'clock and again this evening ait 8 o'clock. A great deal of interest Is being shown in the displays which are being arranged by Mrs. Philip Lock wood. Mrs. Harriett MaoDonald Is in charge of the program. EVANS SERVICE ON SATURDAY Funeral services for Mrs. Lillian Brans, of Union, whose body is at the Snodgrass and Zimmerman mor tuary, will be held Saturday tnorn lne in the' Methodist church at Un ion Burial will take place In the Union cemetery.
