Mrs. Lyditi Loney was elected presi dent; Mrs. Notta Eakln. vice presi dent; Mm. Maude K. Eberhard, secre tary; and Mrs, Ella Russell, treasurer. Fifty representatives were present from La Orande, Bnkor, Union and Elgin, enjoying a potluck dinner at noon followed by a program and con varsation. Mrs. Loney told of her rc oent two month's Visit In Evanston, 111 , whero she was a frequent visitor' at tho World's Pair. Readings were furnished by Mrs. llanford Read and Mrs. Park, of Elgin, and Mrs. J. P. Morolook, of La Clrando. Games woro arranged for the aftornoon and at tho Close re freshments were served by Mrs. Nolan Skiff, mother of the guest of honor. The .tablo was decorated with a pink and whlto color scheme and tho birthday cake was pink. Eiich little guest was presented with a clever favor. Guests were Christina 'Hurley, Fronces Voruz, Barbara Kay Murray, Mary Ellen Wugner, Lorila Leffel, Katbryn andi Allan Flnlay and Margie Kllnghamcr, of Durango, Colo. Mrs. Skiff was assisted by Mrs. Harry Sandoz, grandmother of the guest of honor, Mrs. Wulter Kllng hamcr and Mrs. Harold M. Flnlay. Mrs. C.E. Wale Hostess to Club Mrs. O. E. Ben Johnson, of Seattle, Mrs, William Gable and Mrs. Gordon Gll moro were gueste and Mrs. Gable e celved the guest prize for high scoto, Mrs. Avery Harrison, was high scorer among the members and Mrs. Walter Lane received second, Mrs. Wale served a two-course luncheon at tho close of the aftoi noon. Baptisti Women's Society Meets The Baptist Women's society met yesterday aftornoon at the home of Mrs. C, W. Chandler and made plans for a food sale to bo held In the near future and also for quilting ac tivities. Mrs. I. E. Chenault will be the next hostess to the group on Aug. 16.
