Aug. 1, 1934. yesterday when the 1933
meeting was hold at Riverside park
with the Elgin women as hostesses.
Mrs. Lyditi Loney was elected presi
dent; Mrs. Notta Eakln. vice presi
dent; Mm. Maude K. Eberhard, secre
tary; and Mrs, Ella Russell, treasurer.
Fifty representatives were present
from La Orande, Bnkor, Union and
Elgin, enjoying a potluck dinner at
noon followed by a program and con
varsation. Mrs. Loney told of her rc
oent two month's Visit In Evanston,
111 , whero she was a frequent visitor'
at tho World's Pair. Readings were
furnished by Mrs. llanford Read and
Mrs. Park, of Elgin, and Mrs. J. P.

Mrs. C, W. Chandler and made plans
for a food sale to bo held In the
near future and also for quilting ac
tivities.
Mrs. I. E. Chenault will be the next
hostess to the group on Aug. 16. A
