The vpsult is that we shall have fewer 'ministers, but more, cap- i; able and better trained ministers; and fewer churches, but I'i hitrirer. stronster. and more useful churches. a bmall com- I? munities will have one healthy, thriving church instead, of half a dozen struggling along with run-down buildings undcr-naid preachers, ever-increasing debts, and petty de nominationul rivalries. Denominational lines have been fading considerably m re cent venrs. and though ultimate union of all polestant churches now seems improbable, much progress undoubtedly will be made in that direction within the. next few years.
