At Union When Mrs. Minnie W. White, wor thy grand matron of the Eastern Star, of Portland, mado her official visit" at Union last night, a group from the La Grande lodge attended the meeting of the Union Eastern Star. - ! Guests present Included Mrs. White, Mrs. Carrie Jackson, of Bakor, Junior past worthy grand matron: George T. Cochran, of La Grande, past worthy grand patron: Mrs. Helen Dtllman, grand Adah, of Burns; Mrs. Elslo Mil ler, of Enterprise, grand Martha. Mrs. White held inspection in the afternoon and in the evening the Grande Ronde valley chapter. No. 40, of Union, exemplified the ritualistic work with 65 members and visitors present. Refreshments were served at the close of the meeting. Others attending from La Grande were Miss Stella Block, worthy ma tron. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Ringo, Mrs. Isa Robinson, Mrs. Hazel Graham, Miss Pauline Lcderle, Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Nusbaum and Mr. and Mrs. C. R. Eberhard. No-Hostess Party Held Last Night A no-hostess party was arranged by Mrs. Paul Meyers lost night for mem bers of her club. Eight wero invited. Including one guest, Miss Marty Mey ers. Prizes at bridge wero received by Miss Fonda Hanks, first, and Mrs. Lillian Meyers, fourth. They enjoyed refreshments at The Nook lato in tho owning.
