Wheat prices made a net advance of 10c to 12c per bushel during the week ending August B. Influenced principally by an even greater ad vance in corn as a result or continued drought throughout most of the east ern part of the United Slates. Mills were good buyers of cash grain, but export inquiry slackened at tho ad vanre, and at the close of the Week export bids were generally below of fers from mills. Pacific const wheat markots strengthened, but the 'advance was less marked than at eastern points. Export demand continued dull, al though one full cargo was reported sold at Portland to the United King dom, with parcels of 2,000 tons sold to Ireland, 1000 tons to Hull,. and 1,- 000 tons to the ennunont. uwihi freight spuco was less plentiful and rales were advanced to around 20c per long ton. Harvesting is well un derway and yields are better than ex pected in Central Oregon and Eastern Washington, according to, trade re port.
