"The Value of Knowing Hooks, and the Use of The State Library" was the subject of nn address de livered yesterday afternoon by Mrs. Walter M. Pierce before the stu dents In Miss Walter's class In "School and Community," at tho summer session of the Kastern Oregon Normal. The address was one of much practical worth to the class. Immediately following this, Mrs. Tierce was one of the speakers ut the Union County Pio neer association 'annual gathering. Mrs. Pierce's services as a public speaker have been greatly in de mand during the months of her residence in tho valley.
