In the possibility of extensive dairy development, aocoid

ricultural buying power, more active community business.
: Few people are willing lo contradict that. There is almost
: universal admiration for the dairy cow and a universal de
.'sire to see her kind multiplied. Yet the progress made in
ithe lust ten years in dairying in this section is not small,
' duo very largely to the constant spread of information about
dairy farming and to the interest in good sires and good
cows .stimulated by the Stock Show at Union eiioh year.
Some of the prize producers of Union county herds today I
' first attracted public attention as calf club entries at the
Stock Show. This year the entries of all class of stock will
bo greater, higher grade than ever before. Nowhere in this
entire section can we find one event that means as much to
; tho development and prosperity of Eastern Oregon as does
this show. Its doors open next week. Wednesday, Thursday
and Friday w ill be big days in Union and big days for East
ern Oregon. Everyone interested in seeing these valleys go
ahead, regardless of knowledge of slock, should attend the
'show. They will be well repaid in knowledge and entertainment.
