A pleasant event of last evening was a picnic ut Pine Cone which six girl friends who had previously had u camping trip on the Grande Kondo river at Pine Cone enjoyed. Cut a slice from the stem end of each pepper and remove seeds and pith. Cover with boiling water, let stand five minutes. Drain and rub off thin coating on oubddc of peppers. Melt butter, add mushrooms and cook five min utes. Add peas which huve been cooked in iust enouch wutnr to prevent burning until almost ! done. Add cream, salt and a few grains of pepper. . Fill peppers with this1 mixture, cover with a thick layer of but tered crumbs and place upright In buttered baking dish. 1'our a mtle hot water In at one side of the dish and bake in a moderately )Ot oven for 80 minutes.
