Baptist Society In Enjoyable Meet A splendid meeting of the Bap tist Women's society took place yes terday afternoon when Mrs. Huy Briggs entertulned 21 members of the organization ut her home on Y avenue, Mrs. William Shade-, president of the society, presided ut tho Inter esting session. Mrs. O. K. Hess wus leuder for the day, having us her subject, "The Ktowurdshlp of the Needle." Miss Mildred Kox guve u tulk on the mission study of the society, "The New Africa." The hostess served refreshments ut the close of the afternoon. The society will hold Its next meeting on July 20 ut tho William Shade cabin near Hilgard when Mrs. J. W. Muguirc will be the leuder. ' Miss Ada Kurrell, of Coeur d'Alene, Idu., und Hobert Porter, of Hot Luke, were married yoslor day ut the Episcopal rectory, the Hev. Oliver ltlley officiating nt the ceremony. Guests und patients ut Hot Luke were. entertained lust evening at a musical program given by Miss Bethel Trill, of La Grunde, and Mrs. Harriet to Brotherton, of Los Angeles. Both sopranos were In excellent voice und sang In delight ful manner. Their program was onei of -melodloiiH tuneful songs, pleasingly varied. Probably the most popular group Mrs. Bro'her ton gave was her first, "O Prom ise Me" and "Lullaby." Both these rich-toned and well loved numbers were especially suited for Mrs. Hrolherton's voice. Miss Trill de lighted the audience particularly with her second group. "By the Waters of Mlnnetonka" anil "A Birthday."
