FIR Mates A new schedule of fire insurance rales for La Grande has just been published by the Oregon Insurance Rating Bureau. Due to the installation of new fire fighting equipment and increased fire protection, the insurance rates on mercantile build ings, and their contents, in most instances, have been decreased, thereby effecting a financial saving to property owners and merchants. These rates are not retroac tive and agents arc not allowed to cancel existing policies in order to rewrite at the new rates, but expiring policies will all be written at the lower rates. Our office will be glad to give you any information you desire in this connection. Dwelling house rates are not affected by the new schedule of rates.
