Oi the In reviewing our many years as an operator cf grocery stores in La Grande, it is a great measure of satisfaction to personally know ' that you have been one of our many customers. Material gain, regardless of whether large or small, is a small item of value compared to tlie good will that service, friendship and long as sociation alone creates. We hope that our ef forts to serve and please you have been of value. The past few years have seen more changes in food distribution than has taken place in many years. Better merchandising methods must le adopted by all who would continue to serve the public with necessities. Individuals as well as businesses have found that in order to progress it has been necessary to conform to the economical trend of the times. The management of the HOOYEPJZED h?s always taken the lead in the years past in pro viding for its customers. Our first grocery store as established years ago earned the repu tation of giving the most in service and value. The Hooverized as established during the war provided La Grande its first lower priced foxi store. At tins time we announce to our cus tomers that in order to continue in value giv ing we will from this date on operate on the most aegressive plan ever applied to lower the cost of food to our customers. Buying for casa and selling for cash will be the basis- Credit will be iiieor.iinr.ed. Prices will aver age much lower. To make it possible for our credit customers to take advantage of our new lower pi ice plan we will, to the extent neces sary, arrange so the the present account can be paid over several pay days. This service wiii make ii p;a;is!e for all who desire to take advantage of the rev.- lower price plan that will be in fffect. 1 his rev.- plan will provide a self serve, a!si a sen-ice department including de livery and phoa-ic sen-ice. Customers will be sened either way they choose. The same low prices will prevail through both departments. Customers who wish to take advantage of the new lower prices and get the usual phone de livery seniee without paying on delivery, can leave z deposit, and each order delivered will be deducted from this deposit, showing credit balance in customer's favor on each delivery. We sincerely hope that we will have your co-operation to the end that our new plan will be successful in the interests of all concerned. We thank you for the opportunity you have given us to sene you the past years and hope that we may in the years to come be able to continue to serve you ana merit consideration. We believe thru we hr.vc solved the food dis tribution problem and hope you will co-oper- dic vr.ui ; i ii, jour patronage enable us r.ey-saung plan.
