Much wheat Is rowdlug into tin warehouses giv :ig evidence Unit considerable crop rus raised fvi'ii in Hits driest or usiniB. Threshing i well nnlsh 1 in Ilu lower valley and tn the orth end )( there ure many eids with grain In the shuck, on Ider Slope and l'rairiu creek, ho In' wheat will continue lo move br some time, says a local news- aper. Tests show much good wheat nt I ho weight runs Hghl. The iverago fur Korly-fold Is n round ili and 57 pounds, and there is con idcruhlc hiiiiiI. which represents a iiithcr loss. Tin- prln- Is so much ! A SNAP higher than last year that It has! proved to make up somewhat for the light crop. In tact farmers often find thoy have more, money left after puying ull expenses than they had with the heavy yield and low prices of Inst Benson'. Karly In the ' summer many farmer hcBllulcd to order any sacks, reeling dubious about- I heir I needs. lUi as harvest progressed, I more- and more sacks have been j ordered 'In haste. To date, Kerr, IGlfford & Co. for their warehouses at Kuterprise, Joseph anil l.osllnc, and the Woolgrowers Warehouse (company, with their Kuterprise es tablishment, havo distributed near ly Htu.ono sicks, and the prospect is they will buy more than that be fore. th season closes. This would account for than ilao.'HMi bushels of grain, and the Knlerpris.! Flour mill warehouse is well filled. It bus a capacjjy of Su.uuii bushels. These figures have little bearing an the total wheal crop of the dis trict, for so much grain is held for stock feed. The greater part of all wheat taken from the farm Is still handled in sacks, as the bulk method has failed to gain in favor. The force at the Woo I growers' warehouse ts particularly busy right now since much wheat Is be ing received, to be cleaned for seed. The early harvest and hard roads are strong arguments to move the grain Immediately. Seeding is gen erally held up In Ihe hope of rain to moisten the earth und sprout the grain.
