This opinion has so much truth in it that it is very plausible but it has so much error in it that it is very perilous. It is a whole some opinion if we simply mean that : we should look upon trifling differences of belief as unimportant . where there is substantial agree ment as to the beliefs (that have Power to shape character. But the belief that it matters little what our concepts, are becomes dangerous when we iturn a half-truth into a whole truth and conclude that be cause some mattjers of belief produce little effect upon life ;that, there fore all belief may. be 'disregarded or considered as unimportant.
