ball game played in La Grande in
years and years, and probably the
most portcntiouu ball game in
decade. Weiser and Cove have signed
up to play here one week from tomor
row for the championship of Eastern
Oregon, cast of the Blue Mountains,
and large sections of Idaho. -Lloyd
, Carter has received final O. K. from
Weiser t fo ahead with the plans,
and the 1-a Grande gruunds have been
chosen for the .contest ex'iraordinary.
Neither the Union nor Cove fari'l-
' hies were deemed adequate to hold
the crowd hat is expected.

the La Grande and intermediate
points. Union, Klgin, North Powder
and lmbler have all been striving val
iantly to beat the unbeatable Cove
team this year, but they are going
