extent, though not wholly. We have
canteens for the men where they

dental cream, tooth brushes, razors,

ures and religious meetings, and a
room for classes In French or any

room and the tnbieles for the men
secretaries and also the canteen.
The canteen Is 111 a very huge room,
fitted up with tallies and benches,
where the boys may write letters on
paper furnished free bv the Y. M

pens and blotters they use. Here
nine is the library ami such inaKa
zitles and nnpers as are sent from
home for the men. (iatues are also
kent here nnd handed out as they
ask for tlieui, each man who takes
one clviug his name and regiment,
so Unit we may keep truck of them.
We have checkers, chess, dominoes,
etc.. and outside are ball grounds
and' basket ball and I think one
hut has a tennis court.
The riinteen proper is a long
ronnlcr, with the stock room be
hind It. and here are the men and
women who are worklnc there.
When 1 first came. 1 was some
weeks In one cr.lnp canteen a:id
then some weeks in the other, and
found the work most interesting.
The men of the Y. M. C. A. live in
the buildings--tho women liie In
town and nre taken out and luck
by auto.
