They are real Castillians and born musicians. . In song-dance or instru mental numbers they show the reai artist thru and thru, they are just about as evenly balanced company of entertainers as one could find. Their evening's entertainment is consider ably diversified, consisting of Grand Opera selections, popular and rag time songs, intersperced with native classic and Egyptian dancing. Nello Villa, tenor and feature with the show a marvelous singer, words can hardly express his wonderful ability, Carlos Haio, violinist, is a pupil of the far Famed, Spanish master Sar- sate, and promises to rival his master as a musician. fcignor uc L,eon painist is equally brilliant on this in strument. Varda tr.e Egyptian and Classic Dancer is wonderfully winsome and graceful in her presentations. Senorita De Ixson is a pleasing little qoubrette and wins the hearts of the audience by the clever presentation of her popular and ragtime numbers. It's a show that will please all and should not be missed, there will be two shows at night only. batting eye are almost certain to drag the veteran back into the big league. iRftveral clubs are known to have approached the baseball powers with a view to getting Lajoio, and at least one club has made him a tentative of fer to manage it next year. 'Lajoie is satisfied with his lot in Toronto. He is well liked there. His team has been, in the pennant fight all the way, and the club has teen nrnsnerous. Hence, he isn't figuring i , . very heavily on leaving. The amount of monev offered him for his work as a 'biz leaguer, however, is expected to have its effect. And there are clubs who are ready to put up a big price for the Frenchman s service. Toronto is expected in baseball cir cles to have an American league club before many seasons pass. In fact it is confidently expected tho transfer will be made this winter. If Lajoie could be given the managership if this aggregation, or even if he were given a berth as a player he probably would be satisfied. It may come to pass that such an arrangement could be made. The injury to Buck Weaver prob ably will be pointed out as. the reason if the White Sox fail to win the Ameri can league pennant. The Chicagoans could not have been struck in a more vital point. Weaver's aggresive playing, his heady work on the field, inspiration to his fellows, and a faculty to hit in the pinches make him one if the best infielders in the game. At third base he is the equal, if not the peer, of any fielding that station. The Sox could have suffered the loss of Eddie Collins as well as Weaver. Reports indicate Weaver will be back in the game in two weeks, but those two weeks, with the difference in tho playing of McMullen and Weaver may mean a pennant. However, Comisky and, Pants Row land can take solace in the recollection that Charlie Deal substituted so well for Red Smith in 1914 that the Braves won a pennant and a world's champ ionship. Smith broke his leg shortly before tho end of that National league session. He was one of the heaviest hitters the Braves posessed.
