(United Press) The annual summer session of the University of Montana has be come a war school. Young women in first aid classes are learning how to set broken bones, bandage wounds and apply first-aid treatment. Sanitary conditions, theoretical and practical are being taught the young women. Press) The annual northwest junior tennis championship opened here to day with all northwestern cities rep resented. The winner will probably be sent to New York as the Pacific northwest representative in the sec tional championships of the United States. Proceeds from the matches to day and tomorrow will be used to defray the winner's expenses east. The New York tournament will probably be held in August. : Editors At Pendleton. How They Do In Spain. Shippers in this country have rea son to congratulate themselves that Government measures to lessen the freight car congestion are only of a persuasive nature. In Spain they do things rather differently. There, ac cording to a U. S. consular report the freight stations are loaded with mer chandise shipments, in order to re lieve the congestion the Government has authorized the railroads to sell at auction all merchandise not with drawn by the consignee in five days from the date of its arrival at destination.
