War Census day is next Tuesday, June 5, and on that day every male resident of Ore gon, who has passed his 21 st birth day and has not passed his 81st birth day, must register at his regular vot ing precinct. Once again, let it be emphasized that no man is exempt from register ing, no matter how just his Claims may be for exemption from military Service. Registration and selective conscrip tion, which will be the next step, are entirely different things. All male residents of the designated age, wheth er citizens or cliens, must be regis tered. The process of selective con scription will be based on information obtained from the registration cards. The only men of military age who 1.V - Convenient Arrangements for those Who Prefer Partial Payments at Regular ... Adv. . . 1-30-tf. are not required to register are those already in the military service of the United States, that is, who are regu larly enlisted in the regular army, navy, marine corps, national guard and reserves thereof. Every other man between 21 and 30 years of age, inclusive, must register. There are no exceptions. All who expect to be absent from their home precincts on War Census day, who have not already registered under the procedure'of registration of absentees, must do so at once. This is imperative, as their registration cards must be in the hands of the registrar of their home precinct by War Census day. And men who are sick must see to it that a friend gets a registration card for them at once. Never Neglect a Cold.
