(Special) One of the most impressive events in local Pythian circles occurred' Monday night when with 125 guests in at tendance Damon Lodge No. 4 paid honor to J. W. Maloney, prominent lo cal member and past grand chancellor of Oregon. The chief event of the evening was the presentation to Mr. Maloney of a veteran's jewel and was presented by W. M. Cake of Portland who has served with the local man in the grand lodge continuously during the past 23 years. Judge Maloney ibecame a member of the Knights of Pythias at Athena 25 years ago, T. D.
