In it he says: "You may say that the dull man sins by want of thought rather then with intention, unconsciously rather than consciously. Perhaps. But that does not lessen the evil he causes. Beginning today all post masters will be appointed under civil service rules, regardless of po litical beliefs. The examinations will bi. competitive. Senator Poindexter of Washington declared that Presi dent Wilson's action in taking the postmasterships out of politics will not only improve the service but will save the country millions of dollars a year. It also takes the postoffico pat ronage from Senators and Congress men. They are said to be glad to get rid of it, on the theory that it wa3 more trouble than it was wcrth. (United Press) Automobile manufacturers, authorized by the Minister of Muni tions, are getting together on a pro ject to compete with Henry Ford's big now plant to be built at Cork.
