The railroad has been trying to purchase a right of way through the stubborn old man's property and he will not sell. Walton has only three days in which to close the deal or lose the backing of heavy financial interests, when suddenly Uncle Peter disappears. Frantic ef forts are made to locate him and de tectives finally discover that he has been in the hospital, but not until he has been discharged. iWalton learns that Uncle Peter has j a riiece and he instructs his son to find the girl and win her confidence to the extent of persuading the old man SHERRY'S Ouida Novel Has Long Record in Stage and Story.
