Notice is hereby given that the County Board of Equalization, for Union county, Oregon, will Convene at the court house, La Grande, on Mon day, September 11, 1916, and publicly examine the assessment roll, correct all errors in valuation, descriptions or qualities of land, lots or other property, as assessed by the county assessor, and it shall be the duty of all persons interested to appear at the time and plavo given. Reverend Ig natius Tomasein, aged 70, and a priest of Albany, Minn., suicided today by jumping from the sixth floor of the Sherman hotel. His head struck a wagon pole, dashing: his brains out. This session has been arranged before the Novem ber election so that the new citizen can vote. The court was occupied this week with default cases and others in which orders were to be entered.
