Man agers report for the week ending - July 15th, 191(1: The fire department put out a fire in a clothes closet July 9th. This was probably caused by striking a match in searching for articles. Loss nom- inal except to clothes. Thirteen vol- unteers were oiit. July llth, tho roof on Hen Cotner b house binned. It caught from a flue. The damage to 'the house would bo several hundred and the furniture and fixtures were damaged considerably, by water. Thir teen volunteers were out. July KUh the run-way from the old Grande "Rondo Carih Co.'s warehouse to rear of lot was burned. Tho coal shed ad joining was pretty well burned up cx cept the floor. The fire started among Hie crates and rubbish on the ground. The water department's expenses were $34.50 for tho week as follows: Repair work on meter system cost $14.40; shut off work $5.75; lowering sewer $5.75; repairing leak at Green- they have merely existed. None in all the humming life about them have been interested enough to help. The peculiar case was revealed to the officers of the Society for the Prevention of 'Cruolty to Children. Af ter an hour of coaxing and pleading tho investigators made their way be yond the door of the mystery flat. They were astounded at the 6ight that met their eyes.
