An average of between 30 and 40 head of hogs are slaugh tered daily. During the past month over a thousand hogs have been handled at the company's slaughter house. Gillian is in La Grande on his return from Portland to his home in Boise, and is visiting with old friends. He has almost entirely re covered from a recent severe attack of illness.
