DIMPLED DARLINGS WORRY;
Faulty Construction or Weakness of
Cheek Muscles I Blamed.
Cleveland, O., Jan. 12.4"Dimpled
darlings" are aghast, sad and sorrow
ful. They are also angry. Ana it is
because of "mean" scientific research.
Science, be it known, has decreed '
that the dimple, sweetest and most al- ("
luring of all beauty marks, is a com- j
mori. ordinary defect :ln the'' anatomy. '
That wMch in the past has been de -
that for which actresses and society
leaders have been operated upon that
they might be called "dimpled," and
that -because of which men have been
known to go "love mad," is now de
creed a physical defect '
Dr. Martin Frederick, of the city
medical staff of Cleveland, O., is the
surgeon whose scientific research' re
sulted in spreading-sorrow among the
country's dimpled beauties. ; ?
- "Mildayte dimples," Dr. Frederick
has announced, "are defects caused
by faulty construction or weakness of
the cheek muscles." m:M ,

Board of Health at Seattle, while
