"Unloading Christmas trees is the popular program of the hour in la Grande," as the Bngville Bugle would say. The supply of excellent trees for this purpose is so close at hand that effort is not large to pro cure a fine tree for the kids every year. The La Grande Pharmacy opens for business in the corner room of the West-Jacobson building tomorrow and arrangements have been made for a greeting to all that will be re membered. The holly and mistletoe, along with Christmas cheer, will play an important part in tomorrow's undertaking. Dr. and Mrs. Tape expect to leave Hot Lake soon after the first of the year as that is the time when the O.-W. Railroad company gives up posession of the institution. So far as known nothing definite is outlined after the first of the year for the big health resort. Those flashy electric lights on the Christmas trees in the streets help mightily. Now if we only had a brass band and everyone suspend business for thirty minutes and sing Christ mas carols it would brighten up the old world quite a bit. This is the time of year to clean up i the automobile and have a new leaf put in the spring, n new spark plug adjusted, a new tire put on. a new part to th carburettor installed and I what not?
