About 200 men employed at the Palmer logging camps, have been 'given a half -week holiday for the Fourth of July celebration. Last evening about 50 came out on the ' evening train from Vincent where they are working and today two ex tra coaches were sent out on the Jo seph train to accommodate 175 work men who are coming in this evening. The Baseball Games. An unusually good program in this line has been provided for the visit ors to Elgin during the celebration. The teams that will play are all in the Union County League, and are at the top of the league. On the 3rd, Union will be here with there con . tenders for the pennant, and will have the Indian, James White, famous wrestler andl all round athlete on the mound. On the 4th, the Cove team will make their first appearance on the local diamond this year, and they have a real ball team and one that will make the Elgin Indians go some to beat.
