(Special) The three-months old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Hunstaddler died at their home last Tuesday nights The funeral services were held at the home, and the remains were laid to rest in the Alder cemetery. Chris Eads who has been confined to his home for some time on account of an operation, is now able to get out again. Miss Allie Braughton of Enterprise, spent Saturday and Sunday at the home of her grandmother on the Slope with her sister, Miss Mary Braughton who is teaching a very successful term of school at Alder. Mr. John E. Crymes, Miss Mamie Kooch and Mrs. McKinney and daughter Ethel, were visiting at H. C. Laird's Sunday evening. Preaching services and Sunday school were well attended at Alder Sunday, a number attending from other schools, also our Sundav School Missionary, Mr. John E. Crymes of La Grande, beincr present. Rev. Henry Martin of Joseph, will preach at Alder next Sunday, April 12, at 3 p. m. Every one cordially invited. Miss Grace Chenoweth was visiting with Miss Viva Rowe Sunday. Miss Anna Laird and Miss Ethel McKinney ere visiting at the Poley ranch on Prairie Creek Tuesday. The Alder ball team played their first game at Hurricane Creek last Sunday, the score being 11 to 22 in favor of Alder. Next Sunday they play the Trout Creek team.
