Hamilton who lives near La Grande left this morning for Pendle ton where he will act as juror in the Federal court which is to try five criminal cases and two civil cases dur ing the next two weeks., He will be gone about that length of thne.' They state that during the j months of January he -weather could I not have been nicer, but that the ! months of February and March were j very raw and cold. Fred Taylor of the Eastern Oregon Produce company left for JJiion this noon in the interest of a new break fast food called Wheatlets which they are putting on the market. Mrs-; E. C. Lindsay and Mrs. E. Steincaimp of Island City, went to Hot Lake this morning to visit witn tneir son and brother, W. Lindsay, vice-1 president of the Fidelity National bank or Spokane, tie is unaergoing treatment for what is supposed to be rheumatism. O. S. Gregory, and Mrs. J. B. Gregory, and Mrs. S. O. Kimbrough of Birmingham, Alabama passed through the city this morning on their way to Wallowa, where they will be the guests of Dr. J. B. Gregory for an indeterminate stay. Mrs. J. B. ii the mother and the others are sis ter and brother respectively. While here they were guests of the Sommer. Baker Family Here. R. Ross, for 13 years bookkeeper at the Triangle mill in Baker is in the city with' his family, guests at the home of City Commissioner and Mrs. John Gardner.
