Cotton was strewn free ly over the branches to imitate snow, which has never been seen by the Httle folks in Hawaii. The decora tions complete, and everything In readiness, the children were all noti fied of this wonderful tree through the newspapers, and on Christina morning thousands of little ones of 11 nationalities represented in these Islands made a picturesque sight, dressed In the costumes ot their par ents home country. They eagerly watched Santa Claus aB he unties the dolls and the jump-ropes and jack- knives from the heavily laden branches and distributed them freely to every one.
