M. L. Carter new barn Tuesday even
ing, Jan. 6. They had good music,
good supper, a good crowd and a
good time. There will be another
dance In the new barn in the near

: Bernard Orton, who cut his foot
with an axe while cutting brush or
George Conley's farm, is , getting
along nicely. Dr. Holt was called
and sewed up the gash in the boy's
-foot, which took eighteen stitches al
together on the inside and outside.
George . and Phillip Conley left on
Saturday with three cars of fat hogs
which they were taking to the Port
land market. ,
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Clark were La
Grande visitors Saturday, and Cove
visitors Saturday evening attending
the home talent play, "The Deacon,"
which was a good play and well at

Mrs. George Conley is on the sick

Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Miller's Infant
son has been quite sick at the hospital
in La Grande, but is now improving
slowly.
